Mount Richmond Loop

"Recommend going clockwise it is slightly easier but also the views are better. Ride drops down into Gaston through farmland and only touches the highway for a little over a block. Road up from Gaston is paved and lightly used but ends in some spectacular gravel. Final ascent is magical with the cow fields sweeping to your left. "

"Amazing views of Mt Adam’s and the Klickitat Valley possibly the prettiest “there-n-back” ride in the area. Gravel on the road can be deep so fat tires are useful here. The drop down into Sheep Canyon may require a bit of walking--but enjoy all of the birds in the canyon. At the end is a gate with a "authorized only" sign. Parking you may need a Washington Park Pass (I added a picture of the trailhead sign)."

"The Klickitat trail segment can be rough on a standard gravel bike. The path is easy, but the rocks are brutal after time. Make sure you have sturdy tire--tubeless would be best to let the air out to take some of the impact. Suspension is not necessary but will make things more comfortable."

Lees Falls on the Tualatin River

Lyle Loop

"I find this route more enjoyable than the upper stretches of the Klickitat Rails to Trails. I prefer this counter-clockwise. The Centerville Highway coming out of Lyle is a 2 lane road, but traffic has decent visibility and you'll enjoy the nice views. "
